How Serial Killer Timothy Krajcir Used Crime Education to Hide Murders

Former FBI profiler Jim Clemente analyzes the behavior and motives of serial killer Timothy Wayne Krajcir.

“After his first rape conviction, he was mandated into a university educational program – he chose criminal justice, and he chose it for a very specific reason,” Clemente said. “While he was in college, he raped and killed five women… what he was learning was how the justice system operated, so learned how to avoid it.”

“So he learned about fingerprints, forensic evidence, he learned about how the investigations proceed, in rape investigations and homicide investigations.”

Clemente said Krajcir would use his knowledge of police procedures throughout his whole crime committing process. One example of this was that he would often take his victims across state lines and then rape and kill them, since local law enforcement agencies don’t generally communicate with each other in different states.
