David Duchovny recently shot a Russian beer commercial for Siberian Crown amidst political tension between Russia and the United States. In the ad, he celebrates Russian culture and wonders what it would be like if he were Russian. After the video was met with criticism by the U.S. Duchovny defended his actions by saying that being proud of one’s heritage is not a political statement.
