Experimental drugs are being used by terminally ill patients in Colorado who have been allowed access to the treatment due to the fact that a melanoma patient in Denver died while trying to get access to an experimental drug. The “Right To Try” law, as it is being called, gives dying patients the right to try experimental drugs without federal approval. We take a look at similar programs that are popping up in the wake of Colorado’s bill, in this Lip News clip with Lissette Padilla and Mark Sovel.
