Hawaii Becomes First State to Monitor Gun Owners in Database

Hawaii Governor David Ige on Thursday signed into law a bill to enter all of its gun owners into an FBI database that monitors them and notifies police if they are arrested anywhere in the country. Hawaii is the first US state to pass this type of legislation and the first US state to pass any type of gun control legislation since the mass shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando earlier this month that killed 49 people.
