It’s said we, “drink to forget.” Apparently that adage applied to the signature recipe of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey. The makers of Jack Daniel’s have admitted a Tennessee slave Nearis Green provided the expertise of distilling the whiskey to the founder of Jack Daniel’s Jasper Newton. Though, Green’s role was never written or publically admitted in the history of the company. The makers of Jack Daniels have said the company never intended to hide or suppress the information.
