New Snowden Docs Reveal Canadian Spy Agency Monitors Millions of Emails

A Canadian spy agency is secretly monitoring emails of citizens in the country as part of an extensive domestic cybersecurity operation, according to top-secret documents from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden revealed Wednesday by Ryan Gallagher and Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept and CBC News. The surveillance initiative, which is being carried out by the Communications Security Establishment, or CSE, Canada’s version of the NSA, is examining millions of emails sent to the Canadian government.
