Coming back from a trip from Armenia, Pope Francis stated that the church must apologize to gays it has offended as well as the poor, women and other people the Catholic Church has exploited over the years. Additionally, the Holy Pius stated the church should ‘ask for forgiveness’ for the way they’ve treated said individuals. In one comment he said, ‘The questions is: if a person who has that condition, who has good will, and who looks for God, who are we to judge?’ Is this another case of the church stating hate the sin, not the sinner or is Pope Francis trying to update the views of the Catholic Church?
