Purina Sued Over Claims that Beneful Dog Food Contains Deadly Toxins

Nestle Purina PetCare Company is facing a lawsuit that claims its dog food, Beneful, contains toxins that are poisonous to animals. The class-action lawsuit was filed by California pet owner Frank Lucido after three of his pets became sick and one died. The lawsuit alleges the company’s Beneful brand has led to “serious illness” and even the death of about 3,000 dogs, including his own, in the past four years.
