Vegetables From Mars Are Edible

Like something out of the movie, “The Martian,” scientists have created an environment that they believe would allow vegetables to grow in the atmosphere on Mars. Of all the vegetables, they grew radishes, peas, rye and tomatoes. One health benefit, these vegetables contain no heavy metals. These won’t grow on the surface, rather in a greenhouse environment astronauts inhabit. This progress makes the future of colonizing Mars a little more realistic. We look at the whole story on the Lip News with Elliot Hill, Margaret Howell and Jo Ankier.
